Potima Bay, Paphos

Potima Bay is one of those places where we can arrive without any real plan and still end up having an adventure. With the Mediterranean stretching out in front of us, the pebble beach beneath our feet and plenty of space to explore, it’s a lovely place to slow down and simply enjoy being outdoors together.

For Kobe, of course, slowing down usually comes after the important business of exploring. There are interesting smells to investigate, pebbles to wander across and, if he’s lucky, a good stick waiting to be discovered. He loves carrying his finds along the beach before eventually settling down with them and watching the world go by.

One of the things we love about Potima Bay is how different it can feel from one visit to the next. Some days the sea is beautifully calm, while on others the waves roll into the shore and completely change the atmosphere. Later in the day, it's also a wonderful place to watch the Cyprus sun begin to disappear over the Mediterranean.

It isn't an adventure that needs a timetable or a destination. Sometimes it's simply Kobe, us, the sea and a walk along the shore — and those often turn out to be some of our favourite adventures.
